How Do You Play?
In Kategize POTL, 2 to 4 players race to collect 7 “books” by stacking 3 cards according to unique rules. Think it’s simple? Think again! Each stack demands a clever mix of matching, sequencing, and color strategy.
Here’s how it works:
1. Build Your Stacks
o Place cards in the numbered board spaces.
o Match colors, increase or decrease card values, and be the first to complete a
3-card stack to win a “book.”
2. Master the Rules
o The second card must match the first by number, be one higher or lower, or play a Prism card to change the game!
o The third card must fit the pattern of the stack — but it’s not that easy! It’s a race of wits and willpower to finish those stacks.
3. Unleash Special Cards
o Prism Card: Flip the script! This gives you control but at a cost—you’ll skip your next two turns if you win a book with it.
o Bookmaster Card: No time for subtlety? Drop this as a third card to instantly complete any 2-card stack.
o Thief Card: Steal a book from your opponent’s collection. Risky?
Maybe. Satisfying? Definitely.
o Switcher Card: Swap cards with another player — a bold move that can flip the game in your favor!
